In Style: AHL All-Stars Walk the Red Carpet

The rain may have delayed the red carpet walk to start the AHL All-Star weekend, but it was worth the wait. Fans cheered when the All-Stars’ bus finally pulled up outside Sharks Ice in San Jose. While the players had to wait a few minutes while the van carrying their gear was unloaded, they eventually got their time to shine.

Styles ranged from casual and laid back to a full three-piece suit. Check out the looks some of the all-stars were rocking on the red carpet this weekend.

Goaltenders Among the Best-Dressed on the AHL All-Star Red Carpet

A couple of the players should be commended for going above and beyond with their looks. Take a look at the Milwaukee Admirals’ Yaroslav Askarov, who wore a gray three-piece suit on his way down the red carpet.

Goaltenders had some of the best looks on the red carpet. The Hershey Bears Clay Stevenson looked good in a gray suit and black button-down shirt.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins goaltender Joel Blomqvist went with a lighter-colored suit.

Then there’s goaltender Dustin Wolf of the Calgary Wranglers. Wolf was dressed to the nines in a gray window pattern suit with matching tie. As the only hometown guy on the red carpet (Wolf grew up just south of San Jose in Gilroy), he likely put a little extra thought into his outfit.

Other Amazing Red Carpet Looks

From the Coachella Valley Thunderbirds, defenseman Ryker Evans decided to go with the buttoned-jacket look.

Like Evans, a few other players rocked the white sneaker look, including Ruslan Ishakov of the Bridgeport Islanders.

While Owen Zellweger of the Bakersfield Condors went with the plum-colored suit.

A little more casual red carpet look

Some of the players went a less traditional route, skipping the tie and button-down shirt for something a little more casual. Raphael Lavoie of the Bakersfield Condors had the suit jacket over a polo shirt.

Meanwhile, the fastest skater at the competition worked the red carpet with ease. The Hershey Bears Ethen Frank wore a blue suit with a white shirt underneath.

While Texas Stars forward Mavrik Bourque went with the black shirt and jacket instead.

But maybe the best image of the day was when Adam Cracknell of the Henderson Silver Knights found himself a twin in the crowd and took a minute to compare walking boots.
